An experiment ending in triumph!

Back in April 2008, their first concert with over 2000 enthusiastic listeners made Bolero Berlin an overnight sensation. Devoted to South American music, the unique ensemble unites soloists from the Berlin Philharmonic with outstanding international jazz musicians.

Bolero Berlin is an unexpected and intimate constellation. Traditional elements of jazz and improvisation ignite the six friends, who combine the hallowed chamber music tradition of the world’s most renowned orchestra with the passion of Mexican and Cuban Bolero, and the tender longing of Danzon and Tango.

The wonderfully dark and hitherto unfamiliar formation of viola, bass, guitar, piano, reeds and percussion has already delighted audiences throughout Europe. Bolero Berlin is audible proof that music is magical and knows no boundaries..
